830 Volleyball Academy is holding tryouts for the 2026-2027 travel season. Come compete for a place on the roster — and join a program built on family, discipline, and hard work.
Founded in Eagle Pass, 830 VBA has grown from a handful of athletes taking lessons into a full travel program competing at regional and state-level tournaments. We train players in the fundamentals, the mental game, and the accountability it takes to compete at the next level — while building a team culture our athletes are proud to be part of, on and off the court.
Our teams travel to tournaments across Texas, including LOVB Houston and regional classics, testing themselves against the best competition the state has to offer.
Tryouts are how we build a roster capable of competing at that level — so come ready to work.
830 VBA was honored by the City of Eagle Pass for representing our hometown at the Lone Star Regional Classic. This club was built here, for the athletes here — and Eagle Pass has taken notice.
Our athletes earned podium finishes across every age division this season — from 11U athletes medaling up a division to our 15U team entering Lone Star Regionals ranked 48th and finishing as champions. We do more than enter tournaments — we develop athletes who learn how to compete, adjust, overcome adversity, and succeed together.
Luis Vasquez founded 830 Volleyball Academy in Eagle Pass after a career built from the ground up. He played collegiately at Angelo State University before turning pro with the Dallas Tornadoes in the National Volleyball Association's men's league. He then coached varsity at Lake View High School for two seasons, ending a 7-year playoff drought and earning District Coach of the Year. From there, he became Player Development Coordinator at one of Texas' largest clubs, guiding teams to back-to-back USAV Nationals qualifications and a 10th-place finish at USAV Nationals in Las Vegas (2023). He brought that same standard home to Eagle Pass — building 830 VBA so local athletes wouldn't have to leave town for the opportunities he once did.
The coaches your athlete will train with this season.
Entering her third year coaching with 830VBA, Iliana was a three-year varsity letterman, First Team All-District selection, and team captain as a libero. Her goal is to help every player grow in skill, confidence, work ethic, and love for the game.
Playing volleyball since 1st grade through her senior year, Emily was a two-year varsity letterman and First Team All-District libero at Eagle Pass High School. She's excited to give back to the sport, helping athletes build confidence and develop their skills.
A four-year varsity letterman who also competed at the club level with Parrita, Yandra believes being coachable is what turns talent into results. She's focused on building work ethic, confidence, and a love for the game in every athlete she coaches.
